Booking Policy

Welcome to TaksimFlat! By making a reservation with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to contracts for the rental of our apartments for accommodation purposes and to all other goods and services supplied to you by TaksimFlat.

Payments
All payments for your apartment rental are primarily due in Euros (EUR) at check-in. We also accept major currencies such as US Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP), and Turkish Lira (TL) at the prevailing exchange rate on the day of payment.

For pre-booked services like return transfers or daily tours, payment is required before the service date. These fees are typically collected by our partners, though occasionally we may collect them directly.

We currently accept cash and bank wire transfers. If you choose to pay via bank wire, the necessary bank details will be provided on the booking request/confirmation page. Please note that any additional charges associated with bank transfers are the responsibility of the guest.

Check-in & Check-out
Your apartment will be ready for check-in after 15:00 (3 PM). Check-out is strictly by 11:00 on your departure day. This allows us to prepare the apartment for our next guests.

Early Check-in & Late Check-out: While we’ll do our best to accommodate requests for early check-in or late check-out to ensure your happiness, these are subject to availability, and additional charges may apply.

Luggage Storage: If you arrive before check-in time or depart after check-out time, you’re welcome to store your luggage at the property free of charge upon request. We’ll be happy to move your luggage from storage to your apartment once it’s ready.

Apartment Allocation: Each booking is associated with a specific apartment. You will receive detailed information about your chosen apartment, including its floor, at the time of booking.

Special Requests: We’ll note all special requests on your reservation and strive to fulfill them, though we cannot guarantee them.

Accommodation Changes: Due to operational necessity, TaksimFlat reserves the right to change your booked accommodation to an equivalent or superior apartment, and we will notify you immediately if such a change is necessary.

Reservations, Cancellations & Changes
We understand plans can change. For your flexibility, we recommend finalizing your travel arrangements, such as plane tickets, before confirming your booking.

Reservation Minimum: Please note that we do not confirm or book reservations under 3 days.

Booking Amendments: Should you need to extend or shorten your stay, change the apartment type, or update the number of guests, please contact us. We will adjust your reservation accordingly. Please note that such changes may result in a price difference based on availability, dates, and apartment type, but we will not charge an additional fee for making these changes.

Cancellation Policy: TaksimFlat offers various cancellation options, which are selectable at the time of booking. Please refer to the specific cancellation terms chosen during your reservation process.

Our Standard Cancellation Policy typically includes:

Free Cancellation: You may cancel your reservation without any charge up to 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, or within 24 hours of making the reservation (whichever comes later).

Partial Charge: For cancellations made between 14 days and 7 days before your arrival date, a charge equivalent to 50% of the total booking amount will apply.

Full Charge: If you cancel less than 7 days before your arrival, or in case of a no-show, the full amount of your reservation will be charged.

We also offer Flexible Cancellation Options (which guests can select for a fee at booking) allowing cancellation until 5 days prior to arrival for a 100% refund.

Additionally, Non-Refundable Options are available for guests seeking the lowest rate; these bookings cannot be canceled or modified without incurring the full charge.

How to Cancel: All cancellation requests can be submitted via any communication method, including email, WhatsApp, or through our online panel.

Refunds: Eligible refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

Extenuating Circumstances: In rare situations beyond your reasonable control (e.g., government-mandated travel restrictions or natural disasters), please contact us directly to discuss potential options.

Occupancy & Extra Guests
Our apartments are designed to accommodate a maximum of 4 guests. A baby crib can be added for an additional charge, the amount of which will be displayed at the time of booking as an extra.

Third-Party Bookings
If your reservation was made through an online travel agency (OTA), booking website, or any other third-party company or organization, their specific terms and conditions regarding cancellations, amendments, and payments may apply. For any changes, cancellations, or inquiries, please contact your original booking agent or platform directly before reaching out to TaksimFlat.

Property Rules
Smoking: TaksimFlat is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not permitted inside any of our apartments or common areas. However, guests are welcome to smoke outside the building

Damage Liability: While we do not collect a security deposit, guests are responsible for any damages to the apartment or its contents beyond normal wear and tear. In such cases, we will charge the cost of repair or replacement for the damaged item(s).

Identity Notification (Legal Requirement): For legal compliance, all guests (including all individuals staying in the apartment) are required to present valid identification (passport or national ID card) upon check-in. As per Turkish law (Identity Notification Law No. 1774), we are obliged to report guest identities to the relevant authorities.

Guest Behavior & Noise: We kindly request all guests to respect the peace and quiet of other residents in the building. Excessive noise or disturbance, especially during quiet hours (typically between 23:00 (11 PM) and 08:00 (8 AM)), is not permitted.

Illegal Activities: Any illegal activities, including but not limited to the use or distribution of illicit substances, are strictly prohibited on the property.

Property Access: TaksimFlat reserves the right to enter the apartment with prior notice for necessary maintenance, inspections, or repairs. In cases of emergency, access may be required without prior notice.

Internet Usage: Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for your convenience. Guests are requested to use the internet responsibly and refrain from illegal activities while connected to our network. Please be aware that in compliance with Turkish Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed by Means of Such Publications, all internet access, including connection times and associated user data, is logged and stored.

Lost and Found
TaksimFlat is not responsible for personal items left behind after check-out. We will, however, make reasonable efforts to contact guests regarding lost items if discovered.

Non-perishable items will be held for a period of 30 days from the check-out date.

Food, beverages, and other perishable items will be disposed of immediately after guest checkout due to health and safety regulations.

Items can be returned at the guest’s expense for shipping and handling. Unclaimed non-perishable items will be disposed of after the stated holding period.

Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed at TaksimFlat.

Policy Updates
This Booking Policy may be updated periodically. Any revisions will be posted on this page, and the ‘Last Updated’ date will be adjusted accordingly.

This Booking Policy and any disputes arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
